Large buff cockerel platter

Slipware featuring the cockerel which is used in Eastern European folk art to represent courage and new beginnings.

The white slip decoration in the background is in the pattern of the atomic diagram for copper, to remind me about how we are always connected to each other. 

As always, I have included holes in the foot ring for you to display this piece on your wall until the next time you take it down to load it with roasties or cakes.
